The military lifestyle operates like a bubble, and once you are no longer a part of that bubble, the re-acclimation process to the civilian world can be difficult. Especially if it entails re-establishing your life with just the clothes on your back.  Returning back to the U.S. from Israel, these IDF veterans have to find a job, a place to rent, buy all new furniture, and once again reestablish themselves as contributing members of society.  The only difference is that now they are completely isolated from the community they were a part of for so many years, their previous support system is no longer available.  To help lessen the struggle, the Cohen Security Foundation offers multiple avenues of support to help relieve the pressure and ensure these veterans have a comfortable transition back into society

• $30,000 (1) year of college tuition and expenses
